E-share is a new tool that allows you to share your photos with us. This opens up the yearbook to being much more of your creation. There is no guarantee that your pictures will be used, but we will do out best to include as many as possible. This should also allow us better coverage of school events such as concerts, sporting events, and other extracurricular activities. Please share your pictures! In order to become a contributor, you must use access code: agwtigers

Science Fair Registrations
On 11/4, science teachers from the county attended a Virginia Piedmont Regional Science Fair presentation facilitated by the director of the VPRSF, Adrian Felts.   During the presentation, it became apparent that VPRSF's new website was still not responding properly.  Mr. Felts has requested that AG Wright's science students NOT complete the whole registration process at this time.  In fact, the only students who will need to complete the whole registration process will ONLY be those students who win a spot to advance to VPRSF at AG Wright's science fair on 12/11/2014.  Thank you so much for your patience.  Updates to the process will be discussed in students' science classes.
Veterans Tribute
Monday, 10 November 2014 is the date of our annual Veterans Tribute.   There will be lots of student projects on display honoring our veterans.  The program begins at 7:00 pm with refreshments to follow. This year's program will include a combined performance of AGW's band, strings, and chorus students.  These combined concerts don't occur very often so it's an added bonus to come out and witness such a rare happenstance.  We look forward to seeing you!
Yearbook Sale
Yearbooks are still on sale.  Right now you can order a Maroon package yearbook for the same $30 price as a regular plain yearbook.  This includes your name stamped right into the cover free of charge!  This is only available until January so don't delay.  A yearbook makes a great Christmas gift!

Andrew G. Wright

Have you ever wondered who our school was named after?  Please read this newly penned biography of Andrew G. Wright.
A special thanks to Jane Conner, local Stafford County historian, and Elizabeth Wright, one of Andrew's daughters for their incredible assistance in piecing this biography together.

Curt Southwick, for whom our library is named, was one of our beloved teachers who was taken from us way too early.  Mrs. Southwick helped me put together this biography of him so that all of our students can know what a great guy he was.
