    Adopt-A-Classroom

“Be a Partner with Stafford County Public Schools”

Adopt-A-Classroom invites the Stafford community into the classroom in support of our teachers and students.  By adopting a classroom, donors form partnerships with specific classrooms providing financial and moral support.  The result is a meaningful contribution to education in which donors experience the impact of their efforts and celebrate in a classroom’s success.

Please go online to www.adoptaclassroom.com and check out the classrooms waiting to be adopted.  You might find that you know a teacher or someone at your worksite might know a teacher they are willing to adopt.  Several people can get together to adopt a classroom.  In addition, Grandparents, who live near or far, may want to participate by adopting their grandchild’s classroom.

As you consider whether the Adopt-A-Classroom program is right for you, remember some of the phrases from “Children Learn What They Live” by Dorothy Law Nolte, Ph.D.

©       If children live with sharing, they learn generosity.

©       If children live with kindness and consideration, they learn respect.

©       If children live with encouragement, they learn confidence.

©       If children live with acceptance, they learn to love.

©       If children live with approval, they learn to like themselves.

©       If children live with recognition, they learn it is good to have a goal.
