The Wright News Porter Library Presents...with help from AGW  Movies at the Den...
A signed permission slip is required for all students staying after to take part in this FUNdraising event! CLICK HERE to download your personal copy of the permission slip with all the dates and showtimes. Girl's Basketball Try-outs  Try-outs for the 2012 A.G. Wright Girls' Basketball team will begin on Tuesday, January 31st and will last until Thursday, February 2nd. Each day try-outs will be from 3-5 PM.Please make sure your student-athlete has an up to date VHSL physical. The physicals will be checked at the beginning of try-outs on the 31st, if the paperwork is missing or incomplete, your child will be UNABLE to participate. Please see Ms. Valletta in M-21 with any questions. Coming soon...The 2nd Annual Faculty/Student  The Athletic Department is sponsoring AGW's 2nd annual Faculty vs Boy's Gasketball Game. It will be held on 9 Feb 2012 from 3:00pm - 4:30 pm in the AGW Gym. The cost is $2 per person and all proceeds go to the Athletics Department to help defray the cost of new equipment and so forth. Come on out and cheer on your favorites. See you all then!  Andrew G. Wright Have you ever wondered who our school was named after? Please read this newly penned biography of Andrew G. Wright. A special thanks to Jane Conner, local Stafford County historian, and Elizabeth Wright, one of Andrew's daughters for their incredible assistance in piecing this biography together. A. G. Wright Biography  Curt Southwick In the Spring of 2011, the media center at AGW was renamed in honor of a beloved teacher who had passed away early the previous October. Many of our students were not able to have Mr. Southwick as a teacher, but need to know who he was. |
